Feedback Loop A Fixed Mindset Could Be Holding You Back      As an athlete, I definitely related to the point that this article was making. There's an old saying (I don't remember who wrote it). "Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right." I feel that people who 'can't' do things are people who put themselves in that kind of a mental state before getting stuck physically. The people who don't put limits on themselves literally don't have as many limits. Topic Brainstorm Homer's Odyssey      I think that the Odyssey is one of the greatest adventure stories. I've always liked adventure epics, so this story could give me a lot of ideas for my own version. There's literally infinite possibilities with a story like this. I'd certainly like to gain inspiration from it. Infancy Gospels      I've read some of the infancy and gnostic gospels about Jesus' birth and the miracles he performed as a young child. I thought they were extremely fascinating and definitely something worth exploring more. I could see myself getting a lot of story ideas from this topic.  Ancient Egyptian Myths and Stories      I don't know a lot about ancient Egyptian mythology as I haven't studied it in-depth. It seems like it could be as broad as Greek Mythology. If that's the case, there's a ton of stories waiting for me to read. I'm interested in learning more about Egyptian myth for sure....

Susan and Orochi Heavenly Beings: Susanoo and Orochi E.W. Champney and F. Champney      Note idea: Divine Beings vs. Giant Monsters      In a lot of modern-day Japanese movies, giant monsters are featured in battles with other giant monsters. Like the many "Godzilla vs. (monster)" movies. Sometimes, it's even mankind taking on the task of extinguishing these kaiju . Like in the movie Pacific Rim (2014). However, I've never heard of a modern-day story about a battle between divine beings and giant monsters. Reading this story gave me that idea. Such stories like the battle between Susanoo and Orochi are featured all throughout ancient myths in practically all cultures. Some even served as a sort of origin story, such as the Titanomachy. Amazing Stories - April 1926 Unit: Buddha      I am very interested in the Buddha's life and the concepts he talks about. This was the first Unit that caught my attention.  Unit: Monkey King      I've always seemed to find some interesting stories contained within Chinese folklore in the past. That's what drew me to click on this Unit. I also like how Eastern myths are less cliche than Western myths which tend to be more prevalent and overused in our society.
