     *Maya dreams of the white elephant and thousands of Gods rejoicing before her. 

     * King Suddhodana hears a great voice from the sky tell him that he will have a son who will seek supreme knowledge. 

     * Siddhartha is born in a beautiful garden. 

     * Siddhartha and his family are brought many gifts. 

     * The royal family has it so good, that Maya dies and Siddhartha is taken care of by her sister. 

     * The idols of the Hindu gods bow down before the boy Siddhartha. 

     * Siddhartha meditates under a tree for the first time. The shadows do not change. 

     * Siddhartha has the Four Sights and is troubled. Even when seduced by maidens. 

     * Siddhartha decides to leave the palace and his father grieves.
